Speaker: Christopher Rowland
Christopher Rowland is Dean Ireland Professor of the Exegesis of Holy Scripture in the University of Oxford and fellow of The Queen's College. He has written widely on the New Testament and apocalypticism in ancient Judaism and Christianity.
He has recently been working on the history of the interpretation of the Book of Revelation and is editor of the Blackwell Bible Commentary series, whose focus is on how the Bible has been interpreted down the centuries. He (with Judith Kovacs) contributed the volume on Revelation to that series. He has just completed a book on William Blake's interpretation of the Bible, which will be published by Yale University Press in 2008.
